We're a mother-daughter duo that loves to travel and explore new places, with american mahjong sprinkled throughout. Join our four-day Mahjong retreat at the luxury wellness resort, Palmaïa – The House of AïA, in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Designed for players who love travel as much as Mahjong, this winter escape combines daily American Mahjong, luxury accommodations, exceptional dining, and free time to enjoy the beach, pool, and included wellness programing. This trip will be the perfect reset after the holidays and great way to kick off the new year!
Stay: Palmaïa – The House of AïA in Playa del Carmen, Mexico
Play: Daily Mahjong Open Play with raffle tickets provided for winning Mahjongs!
Eat: Delicious all-inclusive food and beverage programing. Plant-forward gastronomy crafted for both pleasure and vitality. Seasonal, organic ingredients, no refined sugars or seed oils just pure flavor that nourishes the body and delights the senses. Options to add animal proteins also included.
Do: A holistic program of over 50 weekly classes, from yoga and meditation to cacao and forgiveness ceremonies. Guided by experienced practitioners, each experience is an invitation to explore awareness, movement, and creativity. Choose to join as many or as little as you want, relax at the beach, or play some floating Mahjong at the pool- the choice is up to you.

We will confirm order and send invoice to reserve your spot, a 50% deposit is required and will be invoiced for payment via credit card or Zelle. The remaining balance will be invoiced and due by 11/22/26. For double and triple room arrangements, please have your roommate(s) confirmed before purchasing your ticket.
Anna lives in Naples, FL, where she and her husband relocated after raising three children. Her interest in mahjong was piqued when she discovered her great aunt's set, but she didn't learn to play until moving to Florida about five years ago. Fast forward to today and she's playing up to three times a week and teaching friends along the way! When she's not at the mahjong table, you'll find her on the golf course, traveling, or spending time with family and friends.
Emily lives in Chicago with her dog, Josie, and near her brother and sister (and SIL!). She has always been a lover of games, and once Anna taught her mahjong a few years ago, she was hooked! This past summer she started teaching and leading leagues at Lily Pad Mahjong Parlor, which has only deepened her love of the game and the community around it. You can find her in the Cubs bleachers, binging Bravo shows, or planning her next trip!
Together, we've built Mahj & Mosey around the belief that Mahjong retreats should be about more than the game. Our goal is to create unforgettable travel experiences where Mahjong becomes the perfect way to meet new friends, relax, and connect.
